Member Recognition at an All-Time High:
16 Academy Facilities Receive 17 Awards in Seven Months
It's been a busy seven months, with 16 OANH facilities receiving 17 awards for their outstanding surveys. When asked if this was a record for the Academy, the Academy's Executive Director, Victoria Gresh, responded, “Yes, and the odometer on my car can prove it!” Gresh noted that the recent group of recipients includes six Perfect Survey Awards and two Perfect Life Safety Survey Awards. In addition, of the 16 facilities, nine were repeat award winners, while seven received an award for the first time.
"Our members know what it takes to attain superior surveys," Gresh commented, adding, "and I've asked several facilities to carve out some office space for me since I’m there so often. It’s absolutely wonderful to visit these facilities and see both familiar and new faces."
Gresh added that many facilities are using their awards to better market their facility. "Our awards program is a great way to advertise to your community that your facility consistently exceeds expectations and provides outstanding health care to your residents each and every day. That’s what’s most important, after all."
